The new Coca-cola Championship begins on Saturday, and Saints' first match would be against Derby County on Sunday. I expect and hope that Saints win this match. With the new players and new spirit,how hard could it be? Our great manager too is another great reason why this match should go the Saints way. We need this win to keep up with West Brom and Birmingham,who won their matches already.
I just hope that with this squad ,we can challenge for automatic promotion, after that pathetic season last year.Oh yeah, we also changed our Chairman. Lowe is finally out,and we have Mike Wilde in that place now ( Or was it another person?).Now the fans can fully put in their energy into cheering for the team, not protesting against Lowe and waving COYR and Saints banners,instead of LOWE OUT banners.
This year, the newly relegated teams from the premiership has the biggest chance to get promoted back again. Crystal Palace, in my opinion , will be having a rough time. After selling their top scorer and influencial player,Andy Johnson to Everton. My prediction for this season would be that Saints,Birmingham and West Brom would be promoted, with Saints at the top,followed by Birmingham, with West Brom going through the play-off games with ease.
Birmingham should have won their last game last year :(. That way, the Skates ( Pompey,for the neutrals) would be playing here with us , and we can beat them in the derby games like old times...
Saints news aside, my life is as normal as it can be. But, yesterday, I got to learn something new.
There was one customer at my family's restaurant who my father calls Poh Lee lou ( Mister Glass).He specialises in glass for buildings and etc, so he has this glass cutter knife. He showed me how to use it and explained that most movies are actually LYING.
OK, the knife works like this -
The knife is pressed onto the glass till it sinks in,then it is drag on it ( like normal blade use to cut paper la). The glass hasn't break yet, but has this outline on it, and we first have to knock on it to split it. This is the part where Hollywood movies lie about. We see movies where the chun thief (like in MI,or James Bond) goes and cut the class from outside to get in. They put something to hold the glass,then uses the knife, and draws a big circle,then the knock on it to split the glass right? Actually, knocking on the side where you had cut is USELESS. The glass uncle showed it when he pratically whacked the cut-side of the glass, to no effect. But when he just taps the other side of the glass, it splits perfectly . So most of the Hollywood movies were lying( some of those movie high tech,cut through with laser,not carve an outline ).
A new knowledge for a new day :D.
Hm... anything else... guess not... studying goin fine.. Been reading the Fiziks book a lot lately,guess i forgoten most of last year's work. Ok then, nothign else... will be waiting for Saints' match and for the win.
