Last Saturday, when I thought I would be locked up in my house the entire day,I got to go out :D. I went all the way to Matsushita Stadium in Shah Alam, for Bon Odori 2006.Overall, it was not bad,it definitely fed my Japanese obsession. With all the cute Japanese girls in Kimonos everywhere.Forgive my pictures, for I have the Shaky-Hands-When-Obsessed Syndrome.
There, a CUTE Japanese girl :D
Here are more, older Japanese girls .
.
And More
It seems to be a pretty big event held for the Japanese. There are like.. Thousands of people( but i can safely bet 70% of them aren't Japanese, just Japanese obsessed people*ahem*)
Loads of people here.
Even more came as time passedHow do I know? I used my half-assed Japanese to talk to some of them. Those in the pic above replied in perfect Japanese,so I think they are real Japanese. Most meanwhile, answered in English-" What?"-*Note-I was using random sentences I heard from a Japanese lesson program.
Here is a pic of an obviously fake Japanese group-Spot why. Anyways, back to the event. The main event was the traditional dances, performed on a stage/podium thingy. The dancers do the traditional dance in the nice kimonos, while the dudes beat the drums in a beat.I'll post a video in one of my future posts.
The podium/stage with the dancers
Blurred out shot, but still a picture

The dance in progress
The dance from far, and at a later timeI guess this is enough for one post. I'll post more in another post... hopefully in the new future...
